All Music Guide:

Oakland, California's Lecherous Gaze was formed in 2010 by former Annihilation Time members, guitarist Graham Clise, bassist Chris Grande, and drummer Noel Sullivan, after their recruitment of vocalist Lakis Panagiotopoulos. The group's basic musical agenda entailed molesting a slew of '60s and ‘70s hard rock, punk, and metal influences, ranging from the MC5 to Black Sabbath to AC/DC to the Ramones to contemporary rock revivalists like Valient Thorr, with loose, cacophonous, and clearly tongue-in-cheek results. The band's first release -- a four-track EP prophetically entitled Audio Testament -- helped bring them to the attention of Teepee Records, which reissued it eponymously the following year, following a three-way split 12" LP pairing Lecherous Gaze with labelmates Earthless and Oregonian arcane rockers Danava.
