LoCash Cowboys are Chris Lucas and Preston Brust, who combine soul, rock, funk, pop, hip-hop, and gospel in a high-energy version of contemporary country. Lucas was born and raised outside Baltimore, Maryland, while Brust was born in Dermott, Arkansas but grew up in Kokomo, Indiana. The two met after both moved to Nashville to pursue musical careers and quickly discovered a shared vision of bringing the dance moves and energy of R&B and hip-hop into the realm of country. The duos passionate and fun stage performances soon earned them fans and industry attention. A self-released album, LoCash Cowboys, appeared in 2008, after which the duo signed with Stroudavarious Records. A debut single on the label, Here Comes Summer, came out in 2010, and helped by a striking video directed by Brian Lazzaro, the song acted as a calling card for the Cowboys. A second single, Keep in Mind, was released the same year, with a full-length album, This Is How We Do It, arriving in 2011.

LoCash Cowboys is an American country music duo composed of Chris Lucas and Preston Brust, natives of Baltimore, Maryland and Kokomo, Indiana, respectively. The duo was signed to R&J Records (formerly Stroudavarious Records), for which they released three singles. The first, "Here Comes Summer", debuted at number 60 on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart for the week ending May 8, 2010 featuring actress Sheena Colette The song was made into a music video which aired on CMT. LoCash Cowboys also performed at the Bama Jam Music fest in June 2010. The duo's second single, "Keep in Mind", entered top 40 on the country music chart in early 2011. Followup "You Got Me" reached number 52.
Brust and Lucas co-wrote Keith Urban's 2011 single "You Gonna Fly".
