All Music Guide:

After gaining a following in his native New York, Finesse cut Funky Technician, an excellent debut for Wild Pitch Records. When his rapping career didn't explode, Finesse began producing and has since become a competent studio player, producing albums by Notorious B.I.G. and Noreaga.
