The avant-easy listening combo Lushy emerged from Seattle, WA, in 2000. The band included Andrew Sodt on keyboards, sax, flute, and timbales; vocalist, percussionist, and clarinetist Annabella Kirby; M.G. Nims playing the bass and drums; Bradley Chodos-Irvine on bongos, congas, and percussion; and Jeff McGrath on trumpet, keyboards, and slide guitar. After introducing their sound to the Cocktail Nation with shows at tiki events and the like, Lushy issued its self-titled debut LP in the summer of 2003.
