Wikipedia:

Machinefabriek is the musical nom de plume of musician Rutger Zuyderveldt from The Netherlands.

Biography

As Machinefabriek, Zuyderveldt makes electronic music influenced by drone, classical ambient and noise, ranging from very silent work (such as his releases 'Stofstuk' and 'Loops for Voerman') to loud, noisy soundscapes (e.g. 'Piepshow' and 'Slovensko') and from quite dramatic work (his collaborations with Soccer Committee) to more playful music (e.g. 'Lenteliedjes' released on Type Records). His discography encompasses more than 50 releases, most of which are self-released, but he has also released on labels such as 12k, Eat, Sleep, Repeat, Type Records and Staalplaat. Zuyderveldt has collaborated, on record or on stage, with a large number of musicians including Stephen Vitiello (released in 2008 by 12k), Jasper TX, Frans de Waard, Soccer Committee, Steinbrüchel, Peter Broderick and Richard Skelton. In 2011 he developend the 'Soundpiece' 15/15. This piece was made for a 32-speaker system located at the Schouwburgplein, Rotterdam. The speaker system was installed under the floor of a square. A stereo version of the composition for 'Soundpiece' was recorded and released in 2012. This project was commissioned by WORM, a Rotterdam based institute for avant garde music and art.
