Indie rock six-piece Make Model hail from Glasgow, Scotland. Lewis Gale (vocals, guitar), James Cameron (bass), Gordon Skene (vocals, guitar), Matthew Casey (guitar), Ray Black (drums), and Aimi Gold (vocals, keyboards) formed the group in 2007 and soon earned comparisons to the likes of Broken Social Scene and Arcade Fire. After performing at the Connect Music Festival and releasing two singles, the group began recording its debut album with producer Rich Costey. The album had a tentative summer release date in 2008.

Make Model were a Scottish 6 piece indie band formed in Glasgow and formerly signed to EMI. They have released three singles to date and their debut album was due for release in 2008 but there are currently no plans to release it.

The band formed in October 2006 and played their first show in March 2007 in Inverness. Since then they have played a host of festivals including T in the Park and the Reading and Leeds Festivals as well as touring with the likes of the Fratellis, Malcolm Middleton, British Sea Power and Blood Red Shoes.

Their debut single "The LSB" was released on the band's personal label, The Biz Records.

Second single, The Was, became their EMI debut and was mixed by James Ford of Simian Mobile Disco.

It was announced on the band's website in June 2008 that Lewis had decided to leave the band, casting doubt over Make Model's future.

In February 2009 the band announced that they had split up on their official website.

In October 2009, Frightened Rabbit revealed that Make Model's Gordon Skene was joining their band.
