Biography

Sterling is comprised of avant-garde experimentalists Jim Del Fosse (guitar/piano), Eric Chaleff (guitar), and Tony Lazzara (drums). The trio formed in 1998 in their native Chicago and have been making a name for themselves in America's indie underground. Sterling's debut album, Murderer, was released on the now-defunct Swey Records in mid-2002. Fans across Europe soon latched on to the band's eclectic, moody soundscapes. Bass players such as Milemarker's Al Burian and Rob Doran of the Alkaline Trio have worked with Sterling, but Abilene's Craig Ackerman joined the group for their 2003 self-titled release.
