Biography

Indie rock band Southeast Engine hail from the lesser-known Athens, a small town in Ohio. The group's earliest incarnation was formed in 1999, when singer/guitarist Adam Remnant and drummer Leo DeLuca were taking classes at Ohio University and practicing all night in their dorm rooms. As of 2006, the shifting lineup -- with Remnant and DeLuca remaining the constant members -- included keyboardist Michael Lachman, bassist Matthew Box, and guitarists Josh Antonuccio and Adam Torres. Southeast Engine offered three albums: the self-released Love Is a Murder, a Mystery of Sorts (2003), Coming to Terms with Gravity (via Bettawreckonize in 2005 and reissued by Misra in 2007), and the somewhat religiously themed A Wheel Within a Wheel (2007 through Misra).
