Wikipedia:

Nana Grizol is the fictitious matriarch of Athens, GA based punk rock band Zumm Zumm (2001-present). According to local legend, she penned several essays on a vast array of topics, most notably one on Anarchy, written at age 10. This essay is the first to refer to another character, The Principal Dr. Snodgrass, who is cited by many as an inspiration for artistic endeavors spanning the last century.

Members

An American indie rock/folk punk band, the group was formed by Theo Hilton (of Defiance Ohio) in Athens, Georgia under the record label Orange Twin. In addition to Hilton, the band includes Laura Carter (of Elf Power) and Robbie Cucchiaro (member of The Music Tapes).

Reception

The group was profiled on NPR Music on 19 August 2008, where host Robin Hilton described the album's 11 tracks as:

wistful observations on heartache, transient friendships, and the need to bring a little bit more love into the world. It may be a bit too precious for some listeners, but it's uplifting and inspired overall.
