Pistol Annies is an American country music supergroup composed of Miranda Lambert, Ashley Monroe, and Angaleena Presley. The trio, formed by Lambert, gave its debut performance on April 4, 2011 during the Academy of Country Music's Girls' Night Out: Superstar Women of Country special aired on CBS.
The trio released its debut album, Hell on Heels on August 23, 2011 via Columbia Records Nashville. Its title track has also been released as both a single and a music video which began airing on Great American Country in July.

Longtime friends, Monroe, Miranda Lambert and newcomer Angaleena Presley debuted their trio girl band Pistol Annies, with their song "Hell on Heels," on April 22, 2011 on CBS' airing of ACM Girls Night Out. The trio surprised the audience in place of Miranda singing with now husband Blake Shelton. The girls, who all met through working in the industry, have dubbed nicknames for themselves via their band name. Lambert serves as "Lonestar Annie," Monroe "Hippie Annie," and Angaleena as "Holler Annie," as she is from the hills of Kentucky. Per Lambert, whether or not the Annies would release an album will "be up to the fans." The single "Hell on Heels" was released for purchase via the Pistol Annies' website on June 12, 2011. The Pistol Annies' album Hell on Heels was released on August 23, 2011.
After a series of mini shows within Miranda Lambert's solo concerts the Pistol Annies performed 3 sold out headlining shows in December 2011 to positive reviews. Including guest performances by John Fogerty and Blake Shelton.
The trio will also be featured on The Chieftains' upcoming release Voice of Ages on the track "Come All Ye Fair and Tender Ladies".
According to an interview with Angaleena Presley in the Keepinitcountry blog Pistol Annies have written, recorded and submitted a track for the movie "The Hunger Games" soundtrack and companion disc of music inspired by the book/film. The track was released with the album called 'Run Daddy Run'.
