History
Formation, Label Signing, and Free Your Mind(2004)
Camanche and Twizle first met at their day job as engineers and never realized that one another were musically inclined for many years. Sharing a common love for music and quite anxious to start a new project together, the two decided to combine their drastically different styles and found a rather well-sounding harmony that thus spawned their group.
Camanche grew up in and currently resides in Central Islip, Long Island, and he has been influenced on the Soul music and images on VH1 that he grew up on as well as from an older brother who is a DJ in a local group. He grew towards the Hip Hop scene and pursued a solo career after working on group projects, recording demos, and even releasing a featured debut single before he met Twizle.
Born and raised in Hicksville, Long Island, Twizle now currently lives in Centereach. He has been involved with music since his young school days, forming many garage bands in the past where he taught himself to play a variety of instruments. Through this experience, he became very interested in soundtrack-type Ambient/Experimental music and the recording process. He started his own recording studio, writing music for several independent films, TV shows and solo projects, while releasing various singles and CD's as well.
The band recorded their first single "Free Your Mind", which jumped up to the “Top Ten” on Montreal commercial radio station (CKUT 90.3 MHZ), on their first EP of the same name in a home studio. It wasn't long before local record label Supple Records, Inc. caught wind of them. The label President commented that the band was just "different and memorable" and that they were "not a combination found too often."
Hop In and This is a Dream(2007-2008)
They released the full-length album Hop In and have enjoyed immense popularity from its success with fans. It has been played in its entirety on several college radio stations across the United States. The song "Here We Go" was placed in rotation at Long Island’s commercial rock radio station (WBAB 102.3). The videos for the songs "Here We Go" and "Bring It On" are available on their Myspace and YouTube pages. They've recently recorded the EP This is a Dream that featured the songs "This is a Dream" and "Accelerate" from their sophomore full-length album "Alive" in 2010. They are also available on the band's MySpace, Soundclick and ReverbNation.com pages.
Alive(2010)
Their new Enhanced CD "Alive" has been released on Supple Records, Inc. -- it reflects their growth as a group and still maintains that unique sound that their fans are used too. Songs from the album called Alive are available for listening on their MySpace, Soundclick and ReverbNation.com pages. The band has gained a local as well as online following. They have been featured in reviews and articles in nationally and regionally circulating magazines such as Jafam, Wonka Vision, Lollipop, Good Times, Under The Volcano, Gear Wire, etc. They've done several on-air radio interviews and have held the number 1 spot and been the featured artist on many internet radio stations and podcasts for considerable amounts of time. They have won over many critics: Jafam magazine breathed a sigh of relief and said, "Finally, something different from everything else." Hip Pop, Hooray! praised the band's sound by commenting that they have "lickety-split lyrics" that "spit over soothing tunes and hypnotic background vocals" and "could easily be the dreamy sequel to the judgment night soundtrack".
