After meeting in New York in the early 2000s, Shelverton and Tamaryn relocated to San Francisco. They released two 7 records (Weather War and Mild Confusion/Light Shadows) and the Led Astray Washed Ashore EP before starting work on their debut album, The Waves, released in the autumn of 2010 on Mexican Summer.
