The minimal experimental sounds of the Fun Years are produced by turntablist Isaac Sparks and baritone guitarist Ben Recht. The unusual instrumentation often leads to tracks over ten minutes long. After a handful of their own recordings on CD-R, the duo was brought aboard by Brooklyn's Barge Recordings for its first proper release, Life-Sized Psychoses (April 2007).
