Spanish band the Winnerys play retro-style power pop, most indebted to the sound of British '60s bands, but also influenced by the sounds of post-'60s bands who were themselves influenced by British-'60s bands. Their original material often has a Merseybeat flavor to the harmonies and guitar twang, though there are traces of other icons like the Byrds and psychedelic pop groups. Their self-titled, self-released demo CD came out in 2002; their 2004 CD . . .And the Winnerys, sung entirely in English, came out on Rainbow Quartz.
