Tickle Me Pink is an American rock band from Fort Collins, Colorado currently signed to Wind-Up Records. The band is composed of Sean Kennedy (lead vocals, bass), Stefan Runstrom (drums), Joey Barba (guitar) and Steven Beck (guitar, vocals). After independently releasing their first two EPs, If Only We Were Twenty One and Up (2005) and Half Seas Over (2006), the band released its debut album, Madeline, on July 1, 2008. The album's release was also marked by the passing of then-band bassist Johnny Schou, reportedly due to a heroin overdose.

Tickle Me Pink officially played their last show together as a band on March 5, 2011. The band left a twitter message to their fans the following day saying, "Farewell all. We love you and will never forget you. -TMP".

National exposure

The video for the band's first single, "Typical," premiered on MTV2 Unleashed on August 4, 2008. The video is directed by Christopher Sims. The song has become popular in Colorado due to increased airplay on 93.3 KTCL. The band is currently opening for Hawthorne Heights on their Fall headlining tour. The band members from Hawthorne Heights claim to have asked Tickle Me Pink to join the tour in part due to a sense of shared loss, having lost a band member themselves the previous year. Tickle Me Pink has scheduled 2 new songs to be released on may 18th which are titled "on your way down" and "strange life". They are now touring to promote their upcoming album, "On Your Way Down".

Their song "The Time Is Wrong" is featured as downloadable content for Rock Band 2, which is also compatible with its predecessor.

Death of Bassist Schou

Johnny Schou was found dead on July 1, 2008, of a heroin overdose.

Joey Barba, a longtime friend of Tickle Me Pink, was formerly a member of another Fort Collins based band, The Brotherhood of Dae Han, which broke up in January 2008. Tickle Me Pink asked Barba to join them on tour after the death of Schou.
