All Music Guide:

Made up of MCs P.N.O. (Colombia), Reychesta (Dominican Republic), and Rocca (Colombia), the Latin hip-hop trio Tres Coronas (Three Crowns) formed in the streets of N.Y.C.'s neighborhood of Corona in 2001. Like many genre greats, Tres Coronas won a loyal underground fan base by distributing independently produced mixtapes, in their case under the name Parcero Productions. Their mixtapes and compilations reached audiences all over the States, Latin America, and Europe. By the time they had recorded their debut record, they were already underground celebrities, and thanks to their loyal fan base were able to sell over 10,000 copies. Following the record's release, the group embarked on an international tour, earning recognition and respect in all corners of the Latin hip-hop world. Tres Coronas continued to appear on various compilations following their debut, such as Chosen Few and Hip-Hop en Tu Idioma. In 2006 Tres Coronas teamed up with Machete Music for the release of their first CD/DVD feature, entitled Nuestra Cosa (Our Thing). Including music videos and a short documentary, the project aimed to capture more than the group's newest material, but rather the complete urban Latin experience. The collaborative effort features other genre up-and-comers like Kafu Banton, Negro Jettro, Colombian Macho, and more. Shortly after the CD/DVD release, Reychesta began pursuing a solo career while P.N.O. and Rocca focus their efforts on Tres Coronas' next release and busy performance schedule. All three continue to live and work in New York.

Wikipedia:

Tres Coronas are a rap group formed in New York City by two Colombian rappers Rocca & P.N.O. with Dominican rapper Reychesta "Secret Weapon". Created in 2001, the group released mixtapes in the United States, Colombia, France and Spain before founding their label Parcero Productions, with which they disseminated their work especially in Latin America. According to Allmusic, the band were "underground celebrities" before releasing their major label debut, Nuestra Cosa (2006) on Machete Music label. The album was well received and subsequently re-released with a video DVD containing music videos and a documentary. It was also followed by an international tour. Follow-up album Street Album (2007) was only released online.

Although retaining the name, Tres Coronas currently consists of two members, Rocca and P.N.O., as Reychesta departed over personal differences.
