George Grella is a lapsed jazz musician, an unfinished composer and an accidental music writer. He’s played at, and/or in, CBGB, The Knitting Factory, Carnegie Hall, the Paris Opera, Central Park Lake, Dolores Park and the bluffs off Fort Baker. He is a contributor to the Brooklyn Rail, Time Out New York, the Grove Dictionary of American Music, has written for art catalogues, and has a weekly column at ClassicalTV.com.
