He currently writes regular jazz features for the Star Tribune in Minneapolis and does the jazz picks and a weekly jazz review for eMusic. His Holy Trinity of Jazz includes Charles Mingus, Thelonious Monk and Sonny Rollins. He lives in Minneapolis with his wife Robbie, his son Mingus and his English bulldog Elroy.
