Matthew Fritch spent more than a decade as senior editor of the Philadelphia-based magazine MAGNET, where he wrote about wildly unpopular indie rock bands and required interns to listen to Robyn Hitchcock’s I Often Dream of Trains in order to receive credit. He once got kicked out of a Guided By Voices show for being too drunk, which is kind of like getting pulled over at the Indy 500 for speeding.
