Peter Blackstock was co-founder/co-editor of No Depression magazine from 1995-2008. He is co-author of SXSW Scrapbook (Essex Press, 2011), an informal history of South by Southwest. He was a senior editor of Seattle biweekly the Rocket and a music columnist for the Austin American-Statesman and Seattle Post-Intelligencer. His work has appeared in Rolling Stone, Southwest Airlines’ Spirit, Request and Pulse. He co-produced the Mickey Newbury tribute album Frisco Mabel Joy Revisited (2000).
