Wayne Robins has been a journalist specializing in music for more than 40 years. Since his first paid assignment, reviewing the Rolling Stones 1969 Oakland show for the Berkeley Barb, he has written for Creem, Rolling Stone, the Village Voice, Crawdaddy, Zoo World, the Colorado Daily, Komsomolskaya Pravda, and Japanese magazines Plus One and Music Life, the Boston Phoenix MSNBC.com and a few dozen others. Author of three books, he has also taught writing at NYU, copy edited at Billboard, and spent 20 years as the pop critic for Newsday/New York Newsday. His biggest thrill was playing air guitar with Keith Richards.
