Welcome to eMusic’s very first year end list of best audiobooks. 2008 saw some of our favorite writers putting out more crowd-pleasing hits, as well as super talented new voices (sometimes literally they narrate!) emerging from the pack. Our top 21 list runs the gamut from self-deprecating memoirs, heavyweight fiction, impassioned treatises and more than a few titles that are sure to give you the giggles. And while we’re all about escapist fun, we couldn’t ignore the books that made us think and feel and care even as they entertained. Enjoy!
