An Inconvenient Book

FUNNY.
OUTRAGEOUS.
TRUE.

Have you ever wondered why some of the biggest problems we face, from illegal immigration to global warming to poverty, never seem to get fixed? The reason is simple: the solutions just aren't very convenient. Fortunately, radio and television host Glenn Beck doesn't care much about convenience; he cares about common sense.

Take the issue of poverty, for example. Over the last forty years, America's ten poorest cities all had one simple thing in common, but self-serving politicians will never tell you what that is (or explain how easy it would be to change): Glenn Beck will (see chapter 20).

Global warming is another issue that's ripe with lies and distortion. How many times have you heard that carbon dioxide is responsible for huge natural disasters that have killed millions of people? The truth is, it's actually the other way around: as CO2 has increased, deaths from extreme weather have decreased. Bet you'll never see that in an Al Gore slide show.

An Inconvenient Book contains hundreds of these same "why have I never heard that before?" types of facts that will leave you wondering how political correctness, special interests, and outright stupidity have gotten us so far away from the commonsense solutions this country was built on.

As the host of a nationally syndicated radio show, The Glenn Beck Program, and a prime-time television show on CNN Headline News, Glenn Beck combines a refreshing level of honesty with a biting sense of humor and a lot of research to find solutions that will open your eyes while entertaining you along the way.

An Inconvenient Book by Glenn Beck

indulis

A complete lack of facts, especially when it comes to climate science. Old worn out and disproven "facts" are trotted out as if they are real. Any small amount of digging reveals these to be cherry-picked distorted rubbish. Apparently Glenn Beck and his cronies (many of the climate change "facts" quoted come from the same people that were also employed to sell the "fact" that tobacco and cancer are not linked). The lack of any actual citations- that is links to real science references- means that this chapter is just an opinion piece. Which doesn't count in science- the last opinion pieces to hold this amount of sway in the world were a belief in a flat earth, and that the earth was made 600 years ago.

I see Quint has visited Glenn Beck's book reviews and reviewed somethign he obviously hasn't read. He sounds quite angry too...hmmm...angry liberal...I've heard of that before. Anyway, I've read the book on a flight and couldn't put it down. Commrade Quint should read it and absorb some facts that he obviously wishes to ignore. This book isn't a literary work of art but the ideas presented are well supported.

They say he's crazy...

doctor_k

They call him crazy, but he has predicted many of the troubles we see today. He warned us for 2 years about the financial collapse. He was right. He said the government would nationalize the banks, and he was right. It's happening now. He's not a "right wing" anything, he's a COMMON SENSE American, and that seems to piss-off a lot of folks. Good for him! The Federal government is grabbing more, and more power, while trying to control the people. They want to be our nanny, 'cause we're too stupid to take care of ourselves. We need more people like Glenn. People who don't care about either party, but only about what is right. People who love FREEDOM! Our government is not supposed to take care of us, it's supposed to stay out of our way, and force us to take care of ourselves, and each other.

Ignorant Hack

Glenn Beck is ignorant if you watch his pathetic show on Fox then you are ignorant too.

One of a kind

Glenn was the first "right wing" talk show host to blast President Bush for overspending and the bailout-mania that followed. When a liberal does something he thinks is wrong; he blasts them. When a Republican does something wrong; he blasts them. Even if you hate everything he says; he at least sticks to it.

Tells it like it is

timcharper

Quint here says that Glenn only says what he says to make money. Perhaps Quint missed the radio show where Glenn hammered one of his own sponsors (GM motors) for asking for a bailout. GM was one of Glenn's sponsors, and he lost them as a result of his speaking what he really believed about the bailout. Glenn does the right thing. He's honest, he's sincere, and he has integrity. And the information in this book blasts away any credible pretense of "evidence" that the environmental extremists are trying to pull.

Worthless

Quint

Glenn Beck wants your money. His ideas aren't supported so much as repeated like a mantra. The "science" from a non-scientist is disturbing. What a shame so many in the world are being taken in by such a clown.

Tell it like it is baby!!

Glen has the uncanny ability to use satire in a way that really hits the mark... and sometimes it hurts. But like my dad always told me "if it don't hurt, you ain't getting any better." Keep'em coming Glen!... I'm trying to do better.
