The Trials of Oscar Wilde

By: Various - The Trials of Oscar Wilde

Narrarated by: Martin Jarvis

The famous writer's trials are detailed here with interest and compassion. This offers significant insight into one of the world's most significant literary figures. Oscar Wilde was ruined by a notorius libel case and two years in Reading prison, which led to his breakdown and death. Interesting even now, with ongoing debates about homosexual marriage and gay rights, this recording, compiled from original court transcripts, is a fascinating listen.
