Digory and Polly meet and become friends one cold, wet summer in London. Excellent book; Expert Narrator; Poor Recording

Our family has been fans of CS Lewis books for years, so we're very excited to be collecting the audio book renditions. Beautiful stories, well written, it's no wonder they have been loved for decades. I've also had a minor crush on Kenneth Branagh for some years. He is a gifted actor and director, and is a perfect choice for audiobook narration! So, imagine my doubled excitement to find an audiobook... of a CS Lewis book... narrated by Kenneth Branagh! My excitement turned into disappointment SOLELY due to the very poor sound quality of this particular recording. Fifteen minutes in and I gave up. The recording is scratchy, canned and at times muffled to the point of incomprehension. Such a waste. What a pity.
