Summary

Great Expectations

By: Charles Dickens

Narrarated by: Martin Jarvis

Orphaned Pip's life will never be the same after a chance meeting in a graveyard. But is his luck good or bad? After meeting Magwich, an escaped convict, and feeding and keeping him for a number of days as a child, Pip grows older to meet a whole host of other equally intreguing characters in this story, which is one of Dickens' best-loved stories. From the sad and mad Miss Haversham, who has worn her wedding dress for decades, to the ravishingly beautiful Estella, Pip's life and expectations do not necessarily work out as he expects, but makes fascinating listening for all ages.
