Introduction
In three short years, the Pitchfork Music Festival has earned its name in ink on any self-respecting indie-rocker's summer calendar. Pitchfork has put together a string of impeccable lineups, a streak unbroken by this year's crop. eMusic and Pitchfork have teamed up to bring you songs from 16 of the performing artists — free — to help get you excited and ready for the action in Chicago, and to aid the discovery of new artists who are itching to own your headphones. Below, you will see the 16 albums from which those free songs came. Show your love and support for the acts by giving them a spin.
For more information on the festival, taking place July 13-15, check out the official festival website. Also, come July, look for full coverage of the entire event at eMusic's blog, 17 Dots.
