Q: What subscription programs does eMusic offer?
A: eMusic offers three low priced subscription plans. All plans cost less than the price of 1 CD each month!
eMusic Basic
- 30 Song Downloads per month
- $9.99 per month
eMusic Plus
- 50 Song Downloads per month
- $14.99 per month
eMusic Premium
- 75 Song Downloads per month
- $19.99 per month
Q: Can I upgrade or downgrade my subscription plan?
A: Yes, you can upgrade your subscription at any time by clicking the upgrade link in the Your Account area. If you would like to downgrade your plan, e-mail customer service via the Contact Us page.

A: There is no minimum commitment period. You can cancel your eMusic subscription at any time. Your account will expire at the end of your final billing period.
Back to topQ: How will I know how many songs I've downloaded each billing period?
A: Your remaining downloads are displayed at the top of the eMusic homepage after you log in. You can find more detailed download information for your account in the Download Summary area of the Your Account page.
Back to topQ: When will my downloads refresh?
A: Your downloads refresh every thirty days at the same time of day that you signed up. This means that your downloads may refresh on a different day each month. To find out when your downloads will refresh go to the Your Account page and look in the Download Summary area.
Back to topQ: Do multiple downloads of the same track count against my monthly total?
A: No. You can re-download your eMusic songs as often as you like without using additional credits. You can find a listing of the tracks you've downloaded in the Downloads section of Your Profile.
Back to topQ: What if I want to download more tracks than I have in my subscription plan?
A: We recommend that you upgrade to a subscription plan with more downloads to take advantage of the lower per track download cost. If you'd prefer to make a one-time purchase of extra tracks you can purchase a Booster Pack in Your Account. Note that Booster Pack downloads expire 90 days from the date of purchase.

A: Unused downloads do not carry over to the next billing month.
Back to topQ: What payment methods does eMusic accept?
A: We accept all major credit cards including Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, Diners Club, JCB and Carte Blanche. We also accept debit cards issued by Visa or MasterCard. Unfortunately we are unable to accept checks, money orders or purchase orders.
Back to topQ: How do I cancel my eMusic subscription?
A: You can cancel your eMusic subscription online from within the Your Account page. To get to this page click here or log into your eMusic account and click on the Your Account link at the top right area of the home page. On the left side of the Your Account Page under Account Options look for two links labeled "Cancel Music Membership" and "Cancel Audiobooks Membership".
Please note that if you currently subscribe to both music and books, you must cancel each of these plans separately from this page. We apologize for the inconvenience and are working on creating a better process.
Back to topQ: My music did not download but it still counted against my monthly downloads.
A: Downloads are reduced each time a track or album download link is clicked, even if the tracks did not download successfully. If you experienced trouble downloading requested files you can re-download them without using additional credits.
To re-download a track or album:
- Go to the Downloads page in Your Profile to see a list of the albums and tracks you have downloaded.
- Click on an artist name,to see a list of downloaded albums for that artist.
- Click on the album title to see the list of songs that were previously downloaded.
- Click on a track name to re-download that track. To re-download a full album, click on each track name.
