Q: If I’m a member of both music and audiobooks, can I cancel one account without affecting the other?

 

A: You can cancel an audiobook membership alone or you can cancel both music and audiobook memberships together. To cancel just go to Your Account. Look for the “Cancel Music” and “Cancel Audiobooks” links under Account Options.

Q: How does the Audiobook credit system work?

 

A: eMusic audiobook subscriptions work on a credits-per-month system. Most subscribers have one or two audiobook credits per 30-day cycle. Most audiobooks require one credit, some require two. The number of credits required is shown on each title’s page, in the Audiobook Download Information section, to the left of the Download button.

Q: Will my audiobook credits rollover?

 

A: Unused audiobook credits do not rollover to your next cycle. To get the most from your eMusic Audiobooks subscription make sure to log in at least once every 30 days and use your credit!

Q: Can I apply a music balance toward an audiobook or audiobook credits toward the purchase of music?

 

A: Music and audiobook memberships are managed separately and in different pricing structures. Unfortunately, this means that your music balance applies exclusively to music tracks and audiobook credits apply exclusively to audiobooks titles.

Q: Why don’t my eMusic Audiobook downloads show up in my Audiobooks Library in iTunes?

 

A: With iTunes 10 you can easily set your eMusic audiobook downloads to appear in the iTunes Audiobooks section. After downloading an audiobook select *all* tracks (to select all, select the first track, hold the shift key and then select the last track.). Then from the File menu select Get Info. Select the Options Tab and look for Media Kind, select Audiobook from the pull-down menu.

Q: Why do some eMusic Audiobook titles have a large number of files?

 

A: eMusic Audiobooks are presented in multiple, small files to make it easier to keep track of where you stopped listening to a particular audiobook when you resume playback.
