Q: Can I change the nickname eMusic assigned me?
A: To change your nickname go to Edit Profile in Your Profile. You can only change your nickname once so choose carefully!
Q: What is an eMusic Friend?
A: eMusic Friends are other members you choose to follow. Check in with your friends and find out what they have been digging by checking out their reviews, ratings and lists. To see what your Friends have been up to check the Friends section of Your Profile.
Q: How do I add a Friend?
A: Adding a new friend is easy. Just click the ‘Add as friend’ button on a profile page.

You can get to a member’s profile page by clicking their name wherever it appears – next to a review for example. When you select someone as a Friend they are not required to confirm you as Friend in turn.
Q: Can I delete a Friend?
A: You cannot delete Friends at this time.
Q: What is an eMusic Neighbor?
A: A Neighbor is a person who shares similar musical tastes with you. Our super smart software identifies other eMusic members whose downloads and ratings match yours. To find your neighbors visit the Neighbors section from the Your Profile dashboard.
Neighbors offer you another way to explore and find new music on eMusic. Just click on a Neighbor’s name and see what they’ve been downloading, reviewing and rating.
Q: How does someone become my Neighbor?
A: People become your neighbors based on similar download activity. Your Neighbors will change periodically based on your and others recent download activity.
Q: Can I delete a Neighbor?
A: Other members become Neighbors based on your mutual download history and cannot be deleted. But don’t worry, you don’t have to interact with them.
Q: How do I add a review or rating to an album?
A: To rate an album just click on the stars shown near the top of any album page. You can also rate albums right on your homepage. In fact, rating albums is the quickest way to help make your homepage feed reflect albums that you’ll probably like. Our state-of-the-art recommendation system uses your ratings, as well as download history, to tailor the ‘Music You’ll Love’ list on your homepage.
To add a review, click on the Write a Review button – you’ll see it on the bottom left side of every album page.
