About Torque Records
Torque Records was founded in the fall of 1993 by the band The Suspects as a way to put out their own music. As the local punk scene in Washington, D.C. started to emerge, the label was instrumental in putting true D.C. hardcore on the Map. The Torque catalog features Scream (featuring former Nirvana drummer and current Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl), The Suspects, Lickity Split, The Goons, Shoutbus! and Positive State. The label is dedicated to the true spirit and ethic of D.I.Y. punk music.
