About Ladd-Frith
Ladd-Frith started out in 1981 as an avenue for Brian Ladd and Julie Frith to release their own underground music band - Psyclones. The label blossomed with new & unusual cassette-only releases and later, vinyl and compact discs. Throughout the 1980's, LF released music by hundreds of artists including early recordings of bands like Blackhouse, Controlled Bleeding, Negativland, Minimal Man, Asmus Tietchens, Vidna Obmana & Mr. Bungle. As the indy / underground cassette culture faded into the sunset LF moved to compact disc reproduction & recently to licensing in order to spread their news to a larger audience. Their new partnership with EMusic is the next logical step up a musical ladder and we're proud to bring you what we believe is truly the Best OfThe LeFt World! Industrial, Noise, Punk, Experimental, Electronic, Ambient, Prank, Techno, Pop & Good Ol' Rock'nRoll!
