About FARFIELD Records
Farfield was started in early 1999 by Nick Webb as a platform to deliver chilled and atmospheric music, with a strong sense of identity. One of the key philosophies of the label is to release albums where each of the tracks has its own individual character, yet relates to the structure of the whole as an album. This produces sonic sculptures and sound paintings that achieve what the best ambient music invariably does -- invoke memory, mood and transcendent atmosphere.
