About Giants Of Jazz
The aptly named subsidiary of the Italian Kutmusic label group continues to be world-famous for its reissues of the most important recordings in the history of jazz. As current examples, two Billie Holiday compilations - Billie Holiday & Prez 1937-1941 and Billie Holiday with Teddy Wilson include the 30s-40s essential, seminal masterpieces by the greatest and most influential jazz singer of all time, and the Dizzy Gillespie 1945-1950 Small Groups collection spotlights the classic tracks with such legendary stars as Charlie Parker, Milt Jackson, Ray Brown, Sonny Stitt, etc., that established the trumpeter as a jazz immortal and redefined the music forever.
