"Another gem from '96, this one from...Nada Surf. I know, I was surprised, too. But these songs aren't like the band's embarrassing hit from that era. Instead of "Popular," we get some nifty tracks in the vein of Dinosaur Jr. and Superchunk. Nada Surf's more recent records confirm what this early EP indicated. They've always been a pretty good indie band despite their unfortunate detour through Buzz-land.
