"This must have been added in late 2008 early 2009- but this album is unbelievable. Spiltsville does a fantastic job of emulating The Beach Boys (PET sounds) and The Beatles (Rubber SOUL). Every song is a keeper, making this album a total must have." less
"This is the lone widely available Che..." more
"This is the lone widely available Cherry Twister album, and what an album it is. Soft vocal harmonies over engaging guitars. Frontman Steve Ward doesn't have any of his solo stuff on here, but check out the Parallax Project for the work of Cherry Twister's Michael Giblin." less
"Cliff has a very distinct sound and h..." more
"Cliff has a very distinct sound and has really involved himself with a who's who of power pop. Examples include Starbelly, IKE, Wisely, Myracle Brah, just to name a few. Both of his albums have great songs on them (check out Grounded on this one)." less
"For those that don't know of The Nine..." more
"For those that don't know of The Nines, you are in for a treat. Beautiful melodies, driving beats, strong vocals, and piano: Steve Eggers and the Nines have prodcued some of the best PowerPop in the 2000s. Check out their latest 2 albums (Calling Distance Stations and Grand Jukles Field) for even more of this ear candy." less

"Granted, LSMJ is a local Delaware beach party band, don't dismiss them quite yet. Power Pop legend Cliff Hillis does have some ties to the songwriting of this band, and some members of LSMJ write pretty good songs in their own right. It's a live album, but it does sample songs from their excellent 1st 2 studio albums (not found on emusic) alongside of a bunch of covers." less
"A great live sampler album from a sim..." more
"A great live sampler album from a simply amazing Canadian band. You'll love their personalities, their musical versatility, their vocal harmonies, and their songwriting abilities. I think their songs sound better on here than on the actual studio albums (I'm looking at you Bargainville)." less
"This album is home-grown powerpop fro..." more
"This album is home-grown powerpop from the 70s and is The Toms' second. The same guy plays all instruments and sings all parts; he was doing it long before it became an easy more widely practiced thing to do. Not all great songs but definately worth a look." less
"My favorite record. You can't go wron..." more
"My favorite record. You can't go wrong with Sloan; check out all their albums. Between the Bridges isn't their most critically acclaimed album, but I think it's their most consistent album. Get the album, listen to the songs in order; find how different songs jump out at you the more times you listen to this gem." less
