"I saw Jack Rose play with Fursaxa in Lexington, KY once, at a new dance studio with a tin roof. It was in the middle of a fierce rain storm that prompted flood warnings all over the region within an hour, and the raindrops fell so hard it nearly hurt to be outside. When he played his set, he was accompanied by the wash of rain on the roof, it was really magical. This is my favorite thing by him, a clear and beautifully played selection of songs in the Basho tradition." less
