One Man Bands by Shizime
"One man bands, for one reason or another, are typically rooted in the blues. Especially southern blues. At least this seems to be true for U.S. artists. Many early one man bands originate from what seems to be an Appalachian folk and southern mountain music background – discovering the blues and then losing their minds to rock and roll. And with newer one man bands, their sound seems to manifest itself in a kind of hillbilly blues with an appreciation for distortion that at times has a bit of a punk tendency. Possibly branching from their outsider roles in their respective genres (Rhythm and Blues, Country Boogie, Rockabilly, Jook Joint Blues, etc)."
