eMusic Download Manager incompatible with iTunes 9?

I just upgraded to iTunes 9, and now I find that the eMusic download manager can no longer add downloads to my iTunes library. The download manager enters a "Syncing" state, but never comes out of it. Subsequent requests for downloads are stuck in a "Queued" state.

I have the most recent version of the eMusic download manager.

Has anyone else experienced this problem?

There is always something with new versions of iTunes...I always wait a few weeks to let other people find the bugs!

I wonder if you could work around by disabling autosync in DLM? You'll have to drag albums into iTunes manually, but that's no big thing.

I never used the simultaneous downloading as I do not like the way emusic label its' folders...I drag and drop my emusic folders into my itunes folder once I rename them the way I want...

This is a simple fix, in the download manager go to preferences (command - ,) in the general tab, change whatever the download location is to your iTunes folder and the folder within that called "Automatically Add to iTunes". Now under syncing, turn disable syncing off, finally, in the network tab turn off "Save album art images with tracks" (iTunes won't know what to do with them and places them in a "Not Added" folder) and you're done.

Since we are on an iTunes topic, I thought to mention that one of the biggest mistakes I made was activating the "keep iTunes media files organized" under the Preferences/Advance tab. It actually tore my manually organized music folders to shreds, dumping hundreds of tracks into an "Unknown File" folder, and shredding album folders into various track folders. That's what I get for being curious!

I'm using Vista SP2 32bit with the latest eMusic Download Manager, iTunes 9 and I.E.8. No problems here. I have the DM set to automatically add the tracks to an eMusic folder. I don't use the default folder located on the desktop but have a custom folder located on another drive.

I know this does not help but from my end there is no incompatibility between the DM and iTunes 9.

On Mac, the new version of the download manager and iTunes 9 are working fine together. I had some glitches until the new version came along though.

I'm not on Snow Leopard yet - I always wait until there's an update release!

I am having the same problem..so glad you asked. I have been on the fence regarding keeping my emusic account since the mandatory "change" in subscription terms. This little glitch may help me make my decision.
