Capturing the loneliness, paranoia, anxiety and swagger of the New York City criminal

Like nothing since Only Built For Cuban Linx (it's sonic forefather), with Marcberg, Roc Marciano (who has appeared on tracks by Busta Rhymes and GZA for years, but only makes his solo debut now) captured the loneliness, paranoia, anxiety and swagger of the New York City criminal. Claustrophobic and lo-fi, this is a one-man job with near confessional booth intimacy. As a producer, Marciano lets his samples ride, to the point where, on tracks like "Snow," it sounds like you're voyeuristically listening in to a tortured soul rapping along to his favorite Soul records.
