        Long Beach-based Look Daggers is a collaboration between rapper 2Mex (of underground LA group The Visionaries) and keyboardist Ikey Owens (of indie-proggers The Mars Volta). With a focus on live instrumentation, comparisons to the Roots are inevitable, but the California, laid-back vibe distinguishes Suffer in Style. The album is loaded with guest appearances, with everyone from fellow indie rapper Daedalus to members of Mastodon and Reel Big Fish.
