Big Ugly Yellow Couch Radio
Big Ugly Yellow Couch is an acoustic video series run by photographer Donald Rasmussen and writer Carlye Wisel, two goons with an ugly piece of furniture and a relentless desire to help expose unbelievable artists to energetic fans.
Stemming from the idea that phenomenal music can be stripped down to its core and remain just as impressive, the duo seek out bands they love-love-love-love, and record stripped-down sessions on a dead old lady’s couch they inherited a couple years back and a few cities over. Bands come by, eat their favorite food, have a couple of drinks, and kick back and record. All in all, it’s like recess for adults…just without a swingset. (Well, for now, at least.) Here are some songs from bands who have played the couch and others who have inspired this duo along the way.
