 What I Like: Alt-Country & Otherwise

This station will eventually have programs that fit into “themes” – maybe 3 hours of Train Grooves (!)…. but for right now I just wanted to put together of program of music that I like and sort of defines my aesthetic. Most of these tunes feature an acoustic guitar or a southern accent. Some of them have Jenny Lewis. And any chance I get to listen to anything with Emily Haines in it, I do. I have seen the Drive-By Truckers 3 times in the last 6 months, and I once grew my beard out in honor and awe of Jim James’ electrifying performance with My Morning Jacket at Bonnaroo 2006.
