Aside from the art projects Turner happily shares on his Feral Pig blog, and the growing roster of his vinyl-driven SIGE Records imprint, the singer/guitarist seems to be in a new band every other month. Earlier this year, it was the crusty hardcore of Split Cranium and the ever-evolving sound experiments of Mamiffer; now we're happy to report that Turner's back alongside two-thirds of Khanate for the long-awaited return of Jodis. And just in case you forgot how widescreen Turner's last full-time job was, the record's closing track ("Retrace the Circle") tortures your speakers for more than eight minutes, running the singer's melodies straight into an electrical fence repeatedly.
