Sources close to Kanye West have told Page Six that he's set to perform on Saturday Night Live May 18th, a little over a month before his baby with Kim Kardashian is due.

Daft Punk Reveal New Album Details, Recent Kanye West Session

A shot from YSL's Daft Punk lookbook

By Andrew Parks, eMusic Contributor

As word spread around Coachella last night about a new Daft Punk trailer — one that was, you know, more than 10 seconds long — that teases a decent chunk of the duo's new "Get Lucky" single, Rolling Stone went ahead and revealed some of the scoops from their own exclusive interview. Among the many revelations: Random Access Memories is almost entirely sample-free, dropping the whole drum machine/sequencer approach for sidemen from the '70s and '80s; they won't be touring behind the record because they want to "focus everything on the act and excitement of listening to the album"; and Kanye West recently spent some time in Daft Punk's Paris studio, shouting over live and looped drum beats.

"It was very raw," Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo told the magazine. "He was rapping — kind of screaming primally, actually. Kanye doesn’t give a fuck."

Thanks for the clarification. Check out Daft Punk's latest video below, featuring Chic's Nile Rodgers and a rather randy Pharrell Williams... more »

Lil Wayne's new album

Hey, remember when Kanye West couldn't help running his mouth about DONDA, "a design company which will galvanize amazing thinkers and put them in a creative space to bounce there dreams and ideas"? Well one of its first high profile projects has landed on Complex: the fava beans-optional cover for I Am Not a Human Being II. That'd be the latest long-delayed LP from Lil Wayne, which is set for a March 26th release date at the moment.

"It was his idea," Wayne said of the collaboration in an MTV interview last month. "I was just like ‘okay, do whatever,’ because I don’t do nothing but rapping...That’s all I know about.”

Clear Channel Media and Entertainment, the Madison Square Garden Company and the Weinstein Company have revealed the initial details behind "12.12.12," their most ambitious benefit show since the "Concert For New York City" bill that backed recovery efforts after September 11th. Among the confirmed performers for next month's televised event are Kanye West, Paul McCartney, Alicia Keys and Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band.

"As the tri-state region begins to recover from [Hurricane] Sandy's stunning and acute devastation along the coastal areas of Long Island, Queens, Staten Island, Connecticut and New Jersey, there remains an enormous task of rebuilding both the infrastructure and thousands of shattered lives," the companies said in a joint statement. "'12.12.12' presents an important opportunity for the community and nation to come together to provide significant support to these communities as they confront staggering short and long term issues."

Proceeds from the concert will go to the Robin Hood Relief Fund, which you can donate to here. Check out the complete lineup below, and more details at the show's official site... more »
