By Andrew Parks, eMusic ContributorPaul McCartney unveiled the complete tracklisting and production credits for his latest solo album today. Due out October 15th, New features four distinct knob twiddlers — Paul Epworth, Mark Ronson, Ethan Johns and Giles Martin — that prove the former Beatle is going for a sound that's both progressive (Epworth and Ronson are best known for their work with Adele and Amy Winehouse respectively) and faithful to his old fans (Giles Martin is the son of Beatles producer George Martin).
"When I play people the album they're surprised it's me," McCartney said in a press release. "A lot of the tracks are quite varied and not necessarily in a style you'd recognize as mine.
He added, "The original idea was to go to a couple of producers whose work I loved, to see who I got on with best, but it turned out I got on with all of them! We made something really different with each producer, so I couldn't choose and ended up working with all four. We just had a good time in different ways."
