Neil Young has added the one and only Tom Waits to his annual Bridge School benefit. According to an official Facebook post, "Last Minute Tom will perform a full acoustic set featuring songs from his album Bad As Me" and a tight band that includes bassist Les Claypool (Primus), guitarist David Higalo (Los Lobos), and Waits' son Casey, a longtime contributor who's played on several of the singer's albums.
"I had every good intention to stay home and work on my JD Salinger Halloween mask," Waits wrote, "but when Neil told me yesterday he was serving burnt cow's eyes on a flat tire and it's all gluten free, I invited myself!"
Unfortunately, this does not mean we'll be treated to his first tour in five years anytime soon, so the only chance you have to see Waits is on Sunday, October 27th, on the same bill as My Morning Jacket, Queens of the Stone Age, Elvis Costello and more.
