        There’s not much to say about brilliant Brooklyn label Sacred Bones that hasn’t been said already, including right here at eMusic: their consistently sky-high standard of quality, coupled with the label’s commitment to releasing challenging music, has already ensured the label – at only five years old – a place in underground music’s pantheon.

        To celebrate its fifth birthday (and the impending Mayan apocalypse) in a manner befitting its uniquely dark perspective, Sacred Bones temporarily moved its operations to a tiny, remote town in the Mojave Desert side of Joshua Tree national park, and hosted several hundred enthusiastic weirdos December 21 for a seven-band label mini-festival.
